Each SaaS application gets separate core, AI, and logs databases. Customer organizations inside that application share those databases and are separated by server-verified account identity, DataRoles, Locations, and record permissions. Database routing and record authorization are complementary controls, and new features must be tested against both.
Change history tells you who edited a record. It does not tell you who read it, what the AI retrieved, or whether that person was permitted to at the time. We record reads as well as writes, we record denied attempts alongside successful ones, and we can re-derive a past decision to check the log against reality. Evidence is more useful than assurance, and considerably harder to fake.
Making data hard to leave with is a choice vendors make. We export everything — records, files, AI data and vectors, and log history — with a manifest and checksums, and your customers can do the same. A platform confident in its product does not need to hold data hostage.
