Start with a $25 monthly seat, then change the price, customer count, seats per customer, and optional AI Support add-on. The calculator shows recurring revenue, draft BuildWithHQ fees, shared AI-support economics, and what remains for the builder.
All values update instantly. Dollar amounts are monthly unless noted.
These scenarios use your current seat price, seats per company, AI Support price, and the same draft fee model.
| Paid seats | Base SaaS MRR | AI Support MRR | BuildWithHQ 10% | BuildWithHQ AI 25% | Builder AI 75% | System fee | Builder retains | Annualized |

The goal is to keep the economics simple: builders control pricing, BuildWithHQ participates in recurring revenue, and AI Support creates an additional shared-revenue layer instead of only being a support expense.
Charge $10, $25, $100, or whatever fits the market you understand.
BuildWithHQ earns 10% of modeled base SaaS subscription revenue, so platform revenue rises with builder success.
Set the AI Support resale price from $5/month per paid seat. The builder retains 75% and BuildWithHQ receives 25%.
The draft price-sensitive system fee remains separate from the revenue share. Unusually heavy AI, GPU, messaging, storage, or third-party consumption is outside this planning calculator.
We include a free template with all of the included features of the system. You can build your own industry-specific vertical from this template. We have a template marketplace, but it is optional to use. There are paid upgrades to optional features (such as document signing); these optional features are purely optional. If you build a heavy file-upload platform, such as a system that shares videos to be edited or a file-upload platform, you will need to connect your own AWS S3 buckets to the system for those files to go into.
The AI Support slider starts at $5 per paid seat per month. AI Support add-on revenue is modeled separately from the base SaaS 10% share: 75% remains with the builder and 25% goes to BuildWithHQ.
A low-priced SaaS should not be overwhelmed by a fixed per-seat platform cost. The draft calculator therefore uses 3% of the monthly seat price per paid seat, with no per-seat dollar cap.
No. It is the amount left after the BuildWithHQ fees modeled here. Your own payment processing, taxes, refunds, sales, support, payroll, unusually heavy AI or third-party usage, and other business expenses still matter.
